Another police officer has died from COVID-19, a statement by the Police Service said.
He has been identified as PC Kerry Ramkissoon.
Ramkissoon, 45, passed away last week Wednesday at the Sangre Grande Hospital.
Police said Ramkissoon became a member of the Police Service on August 11, 1997 and dedicated 21 years to the service before going on leave in 2018.
He was due to return to work on January 27, 2022.
“He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his colleagues,” the statement said.
Acting Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob and the executive of the Police Service have extending condolences to the family and colleagues of Ramkissoon.
