An­oth­er po­lice of­fi­cer has died from COVID-19, a state­ment by the Po­lice Ser­vice said.

He has been iden­ti­fied as PC Ker­ry Ramkissoon.

Ramkissoon, 45, passed away last week Wednes­day at the San­gre Grande Hos­pi­tal.

Po­lice said Ramkissoon be­came a mem­ber of the Po­lice Ser­vice on Au­gust 11, 1997 and ded­i­cat­ed 21 years to the ser­vice be­fore go­ing on leave in 2018.

He was due to re­turn to work on Jan­u­ary 27, 2022.

“He will be fond­ly re­mem­bered and great­ly missed by his col­leagues,” the state­ment said.

Act­ing Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice Mc­Don­ald Ja­cob and the ex­ec­u­tive of the Po­lice Ser­vice have ex­tend­ing con­do­lences to the fam­i­ly and col­leagues of Ramkissoon.
