A man from Arou­ca was killed in a dri­ve-by shoot­ing yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, Kadeem Mor­ris was walk­ing along Nathaniel Critchlow Boule­vard, Pine Ridge Heights, Arou­ca, when a gold Nis­san Almera pulled along­side him.

A pas­sen­ger in the ve­hi­cle shot Mor­ris sev­er­al times be­fore the ve­hi­cle sped away.

Mor­ris, who was shot in his head, arm, shoul­der and legs, was tak­en to the Ari­ma Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal and trans­ferred to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences in Mt Hope where he died.

Crime scene in­ves­ti­ga­tors re­port­ed­ly re­cov­er six spent 9 mm shells on the scene of the shoot­ing.
