A 60-year-old at­tor­ney and her 67-year-old hus­band are the coun­try's lat­est mur­der vic­tims af­ter they were found dead at their Cu­mu­to home on Thurs­day night.

Po­lice said a rel­a­tive vis­it­ed the Guat­a­pa­jaro Road, Caratal, home of Ku­nari Baksh and her hus­band Nasheed Baksh, around 7:15 pm when she no­ticed the house had no elec­tric­i­ty.

On en­ter­ing the home, she saw the house had been ran­sacked and dis­cov­ered the body of Ku­nari Baksh tied up in the liv­ing room and face down in the pool of blood.

On check­ing the home, she lat­er found Nasheed Baksh bound and gagged on the sec­ond floor bed­room of the home al­so in a pool of blood.

North­ern Di­vi­sion po­lice were called in with of­fi­cers of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II who are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.

Their mur­ders bring the mur­der toll to 7 for the year thus far.
