Barbados police are investigating an incident that led to the death of one person in the parish of St. James, early on Sunday.
This shooting follows a mass shooting on Saturday, in which three people were killed while at a bar located on Nelson Street in the capital.
The police report that around 1:55 am (local time) on Saturday, three masked men entered Majestic Bar and opened fire, discharging several rounds at the patrons inside.
Three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, and eight others were injured.
Of those injured, six were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for treatment, while two males were treated at the scene.
So far, two of the three people killed have been identified.
They are Kawanee Akobi Lashley, 24, and Chaubhri Antonio Cordle-Gobin, 24.
However, the third individual remains unidentified.
Police Commissioner Richard Boyce has extended condolences to the victims’ families and expressed the Police Service’s commitment to bringing those responsible to justice. —BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC)
