Biche man accused of Kidnapping, False Imprisonment denied bail

One of two men charged joint­ly with Kid­nap­ping and False im­pris­on­ment was re­fused bail while his ac­com­plice was grant­ed bail in the sum of $350,000 with sure­ty and oth­er con­di­tions.

In the me­dia re­lease the TTPS said Za­l­im Ho­sein ,28, and En­rique Gon­za­les, 18, of Biche ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore Mag­is­trate Tara­matie Ram­dass of Rio Claro Mag­is­trate Court and were not called up­on to plead. Za­l­im Ho­sein was de­nied bail and re­mand­ed in cus­tody, while En­rique Gon­za­les was grant­ed bail in the sum of $350,000 with sure­ty in ad­di­tion to the oth­er con­di­tions.

Gon­za­les has to re­port to the Biche Po­lice Sta­tion every Mon­day and Sat­ur­day dur­ing 7am to 6pm, and a cur­few was im­posed from 7pm to 6am.

Both ac­cused are al­so pro­hib­it­ed from com­mu­ni­cat­ing with the al­leged vic­tim.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports at around 8:20pm on Mon­day a 28- year-old woman of Charu­ma Vil­lage, Biche was at her home when she was ac­cost­ed by two men known to her.

Both were re­port­ed­ly armed with cut­lass­es and went in­side her bed­room and in­formed her that she was be­ing tak­en to the home of one of the men.

A re­port was sub­se­quent­ly made at the Biche Po­lice. The of­fi­cers then pro­ceed­ed to Prince Street, Biche and met and in­ter­viewed the al­leged vic­tim. The of­fi­cers con­tin­ued with their en­quiries and ob­served the sus­pect Za­l­im Ho­sein run­ning along Ab­erdeen Street, Biche. They pur­sued the sus­pect and ar­rest­ed him. The par­ty of of­fi­cers then con­duct­ed fur­ther en­quiries and pro­ceed­ed to Rod­ney Street, Biche and ar­rest­ed sec­ond sus­pect En­rique Gon­za­les. They took both men to Biche Po­lice Sta­tion were charges were sub­se­quent­ly laid.
