A Care­nage man was killed on Wednes­day night while stand­ing on the road out­side his home.

Pe­ter Dedi­er, 37, of Up­per Sea View Hill, was shot sev­er­al times around 11.25 pm. Po­lice on mo­bile pa­trol re­ceived re­ports of gun­fire in the Care­nage area and up­on check­ing they found the un­em­ployed man ly­ing on the road in front his house.

A to­tal of three spent 9mm shells were re­cov­ered at the scene.
