Caribbean Airlines is asking its customers to bear with it as it sorts out issues with its recently launched Jeptpak Courier Service, which it says received a “tremendous response” and an “overwhelming demand”.
“As a result of the incredible response and the significant number of packages received, the company has been experiencing longer than usual processing times,” the airline explained in an official statement.
“Regrettably, this has resulted in delayed delivery timelines, a lag in responses to emails and lengthy wait times via its support channels to some of its customers.”
The airline has partnered with other service providers in order to sort out the situation, which may mean a two-week wait for some customers.
“Caribbean Airlines expects the affected packages to get to its customers within the next 10 to 15 business days. Also, the airline is actively working with third-party providers to increase capacity to meet and exceed the current demand,” the company assured.
For the short term, the airline says there will be no new subscribers accepted for the service.
“As a result of the overwhelming response and demand for the Jetpak Courier service, Caribbean Airlines will pause new registrations until further notice. This will allow the company to focus on delivering an enhanced experience to its existing customers while building more capacity.”
It added: “Caribbean Airlines thanks its stakeholders for their understanding while the Jetpak team expedites a solution to this matter.”
