The Catholic Church has launched an investigation to verify the truth of allegations of abuse at Children's homes. In a press release issued today, the church said they take all allegations of this nature seriously and gave the assurrance that every step will be taken to determine the facts and act appropriately in accordance with their public duty.

The church investigative team will include independent and qualified experrts in the field of psychoilogy, childcare/social work, law and human resource management. They also stated that the investigation will  provide recommendations for improvement for the future.
