A dispute over a headwrap reportedly cost a CEPEP worker his life yesterday morning.
According to reports, 46-year-old Richard Baird was on a job site near Ravine Road and Second Street, Morne Coco, Petit Valley, around 8.40 am when four masked men approached him.
Witnesses said they confronted Baird about a white jersey he had wrapped around his head and covered a part of his face.
However, Baird, of Broome Street, Four Roads, Diego Martin, reportedly refused to remove the jersey and the men retaliated by using their guns on him. Baird was shot four times.
Baird's wife was reportedly on her way to the site o drop off breakfast for him and heard the gunshots which killed him, Guardian Media was told.
The men fled the scene on foot, witnesses said.
