Po­lice of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion res­cued a moth­er and her in­fant child from the home of a male rel­a­tive on Thurs­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, around 9 pm, of­fi­cers of the Cunu­pia Po­lice Sta­tion went to the War­renville home of a 39-year-old man and found the woman and her child, both of whom ap­peared to be un­harmed.

Po­lice say that around 5:35 pm, the vic­tim, Anisa Guer­ra, and her daugh­ter, were tak­en against their will by the sus­pect, from the home of rel­a­tives at Ghan­di Street, St He­le­na.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands the man was ar­rest­ed and re­mains in po­lice cus­tody.
