Po­lice of­fi­cers at­tached to the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force have ar­rest­ed a 25-year-old man af­ter they seized a large quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise on Thurs­day.
Po­lice said that at around 9:50 pm they were con­duct­ing a mo­bile pa­trol on Belle­vue In­dus­tri­al Es­tate, Ma­yaro, when of­fi­cers act­ed on in­tel­li­gence and in­ter­cept­ed a mo­tor ve­hi­cle dri­ven by a man from Champ Fleurs.

Dur­ing the search of the ve­hi­cle, the of­fi­cers found two cro­cus bags con­tain­ing 39 kilo­grams of mar­i­jua­na, with an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of $1,115,400.

The of­fi­cers seized the il­le­gal nar­cotics and the man was ar­rest­ed.
