The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has advised that regular operations have resumed at its headquarters in Barbados in the wake of Hurricane Beryl.
However, in a statement today CXC said, "The safety of our employees and stakeholders is paramount and therefore our Western Zone Office in Jamaica, which is now under hurricane warning, will close today, 2 July 2024, at 12:00 pm EST."
It said it would advise of the re-opening in accordance with the guidance provided by the Government of Jamaica.
" Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been adversely affected by Hurricane Beryl’s destructive path through the Caribbean to date, and to those who are still under threat from the hurricane," CXC said.
