The Min­istry of Dig­i­tal Trans­for­ma­tion (MDT) has launched its De­vel­op­ers’ Hub (D’Hub) Chal­lenge, a con­test for lo­cal de­vel­op­ers reg­is­tered in D’Hub, to cre­ate dig­i­tal so­lu­tions that ad­dress crit­i­cal pub­lic sec­tor, so­cial, eco­nom­ic, and en­vi­ron­men­tal needs in T&T.

In the first se­ries of the chal­lenge, dig­i­tal so­lu­tions are be­ing sought for: the Min­istry of Fi­nance – Cus­toms and Ex­cise Di­vi­sion, the Min­istry of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty -Im­mi­gra­tion Di­vi­sion, the Min­istry of Health, TTPOST, and the En­vi­ron­ment Man­age­ment Au­thor­i­ty.

The chal­lenge will of­fer de­vel­op­ers unique op­por­tu­ni­ties to de­vel­op in­no­v­a­tive ideas, busi­ness mod­els, and dig­i­tal so­lu­tions that ad­dress noise pol­lu­tion man­age­ment, per­son­al health mon­i­tor­ing, track­ing your pass­port ap­pli­ca­tion on­line and more.

Par­tic­i­pat­ing de­vel­op­ers can al­so look for­ward to mon­e­tary awards at two stages of the De­vel­op­er’s Hub Chal­lenge:

1. At the Con­cept Award Stage, up to three (3) de­vel­op­ers or small de­vel­op­er teams (per chal­lenge) can re­ceive an award for their proofs of con­cept.

2. At the Im­ple­men­ta­tion Stage, one (1) de­vel­op­er or small de­vel­op­er team (per chal­lenge) could po­ten­tial­ly re­ceive an award to be dis­bursed up­on achiev­ing agreed-up­on mile­stones over a six-month pe­ri­od.
