Education Ministry reveals CSEC,CAPE papers security breach

The Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion (MOE) says it has been in­formed by the Caribbean Ex­am­i­na­tions Coun­cil (CXC) of a breach in the se­cu­ri­ty with re­spect to Caribbean Sec­ondary Ed­u­ca­tion Coun­cil (CSEC) and Caribbean Ad­vanced Pro­fi­cien­cy Ex­am­i­na­tion (CAPE) pa­pers.

In a me­dia re­lease, the Min­istry said CXC is cur­rent­ly in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mat­ter and will pro­vide fur­ther in­for­ma­tion to all re­gion­al Ed­u­ca­tion Min­is­ters.

The Min­istry said the sit­u­a­tion is be­ing close­ly mon­i­tored, and it will pro­vide up­dates on this se­ri­ous mat­ter as they be­come avail­able. “Stu­dents and par­ents are ad­vised that at this time, there are no pro­posed changes to the CSEC and CAPE ex­am­i­na­tion sched­ule,” it said.
