An ar­gu­ment be­tween two child­hood friends led to one stab­bing the oth­er to death in Pe­nal yes­ter­day.

Car­lyle Hamil­ton, 19, al­so known as Blacks, of Smart Av­enue, Pe­nal, was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival at the Siparia Health Fa­cil­i­ty.

Po­lice re­ports say Hamil­ton was walk­ing along Hi­bis­cus Dri­ve, off Latchoos Road, around 11.50 am, when he and the sus­pect be­gan to ar­gue.

Dur­ing the ar­gu­ment, the 20-year-old sus­pect re­port­ed­ly stabbed Hamil­ton and ran off.

The sus­pect lat­er sur­ren­dered to the Pe­nal Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice and was hand­ed over to of­fi­cers of the Pe­nal Po­lice Sta­tion.

Po­lice in­quiries re­vealed that Hamil­ton and the sus­pect were in­volved in an­oth­er al­ter­ca­tion re­cent­ly and the sus­pect was beat­en.

Of­fi­cers of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion 3 are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
