Heavy rains in Tobago yesterday caused major problems, with blocked roads, flooding, and power outages affecting several areas.
Landslides and fallen trees left parts of Moriah, Studley Park and Plymouth Road impassable.
The rainfall began just after midnight and continued into the morning.
The Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) reported 15 incidents, including three residential landslides, two cases of roadway flooding, and fallen trees disrupting access along Golden Lane and Moriah.
TEMA said in Runnemede, a tree knocked down power lines, cutting electricity from Moriah to L’Anse Fourmi.
The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission, along with TEMA and Tobago House of Assembly officials, were working to restore power and clear roads up to late yesterday afternoon.
