De­spite a pic­ture cir­cu­lat­ing on so­cial me­dia, Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar says it is “fake news” that she suf­fered a stroke. Speak­ing to Guardian Me­dia via text mes­sage she said, “Fake news. Just left Pi­ar­co on my way home.”

She then sent a link to a Gre­go­ry Isaacs – Ru­mours dem spreadin” on Youtube

Sev­er­al op­po­si­tion mem­bers al­so told Guardian me­dia they knew noth­ing of Kam­la Per­sad Bisses­sar suf­fer­ing a stroke.

The post orig­i­nat­ed on the Face­book page UNC Ca­bal say­ing, “Word just came in that Sushilla is cur­rent­ly hos­pi­tal­ized in the US af­ter suf­fer­ing a mild stroke. Ca­bal would post an up­date at 7pm.

Get well soon Sushilla.”

Oropouche East MP Dr Roodal Mooni­lal said he nev­er be­lieves any­thing from that source be­cause it is” Acer­bic acidic and tox­ic. “He flat­ly de­nied the ru­mour.

Mrs Per­sad Bisses­sar was out of the coun­try but re­turned to­day.
