T&T's javelin Olympian Keshorn Walcott has qualified for the final of the event in the Paris Olympic Games after going through the preliminary rounds this morning.
Walcott was 6th in Group A of the event with a throw of 83.02 metres, which was enough to qualify as the 11th-best thrower.
The top 12 will throw in the final.
Neeraj Chopra of India was the top thrower in the preliminaries with a throw of 89.34 metres, followed by Grenada's Anderson Peters who threw 88.63.
The final takes place on Thursday at 2.45 pm TT time.
