T&T's javelin Olympian Keshorn Wal­cott has qual­i­fied for the fi­nal of the event in the Paris Olympic Games af­ter go­ing through the pre­lim­i­nary rounds this morn­ing.

Wal­cott was 6th in Group A of the event with a throw of 83.02 me­tres, which was enough to qual­i­fy as the 11th-best throw­er.

The top 12 will throw in the fi­nal.

Neer­aj Chopra of In­dia was the top throw­er in the pre­lim­i­nar­ies with a throw of 89.34 me­tres, fol­lowed by Grena­da's An­der­son Pe­ters who threw 88.63.

The fi­nal takes place on Thurs­day at 2.45 pm TT time.
