This coun­try has record­ed one new death from Dengue Fever, bring­ing the na­tion­al to­tal to 12, the Min­istry of Health re­ports in its lat­est epi­demi­o­log­i­cal up­date on Dengue cas­es with­in the coun­try.

It is the first for the month of Sep­tem­ber.  As at Au­gust 30, 2024, the num­ber of lab­o­ra­to­ry-con­firmed deaths re­port­ed by the Health Min­istry was 11.

Mean­while, the num­ber of lab­o­ra­to­ry-con­firmed cas­es of Dengue Fever re­mains steady at 1,053.

The Min­istry al­so notes that as at Sep­tem­ber 4, 2024, a to­tal of 851 yel­low fever no­tices have been is­sued to prop­er­ty own­ers/oc­cu­piers, di­rect­ing them to clean up their sur­round­ings. Of this, 43 prop­er­ty own­ers/oc­cu­piers have, thus far, been iden­ti­fied for the con­sid­er­a­tion/in­sti­tu­tion of le­gal pro­ceed­ings for non-com­pli­ance.
