Lost Tribe won with its presentation 202WE beating Downtown Band of the Year Winners Ronnie and Caro.

In 2019, Lost Tribe was the winner in the Band of the Year Category but NCC created for the first time a title called "Overall Band of the Year Winner" which went to K2K Alliance

Below is the full statement from Valmiki Maharaj, Lost Tribe's Band Leader.

"I am so thankful in this moment that is unexpected. My focus this year, honestly, which was not on competition, it wasn't on going to win anything because I felt like for each of us who made it to the road after surviving the pandemic and the past couple of months on the lead up to carnival 23 That was a win in itself. Every day I met other producers or other band leaders on the road or other vendors in the carnival, I said, you know, as we stand up here on this road and have made it to the road, that is a win literally verbatim. For this to come right now. I just have to be more than thankful for it. I'm thankful to every every single person who played a part in getting us here. And I would like to dedicate this to all those unsung heroes you don't hear about; every person who sticks a gem and bends a wire to get those costumes that you wrote every route manager who led us safely and steered our ships. Thank you to them.
