Fire fighters spent hours battling a blaze that put to waste millions of dollars in merchandise on Monday when a warehouse at Enterprise, Chaguanas was gutted on Monday night.
The massive facility stocked goods for Sumeds Limited Poultry Equipment and Supplies and Alisha Marketing at Citrus Drive.
Fire appliances from Chaguanas, Couva, Savonetta and Tunapuna battled the blaze.
Onlookers said the fire services ran out of water when the blaze moved from the northern end of the complex that housed automotive goods for Alisha Marketing end of the complex to the Sumed’s end of the facility. Fire Service officers said they are yet to determine the cause of the blaze and assess the value of the losses.
