Po­lice are try­ing to iden­ti­fy a man whose body was dumped at a ceme­tery in Mor­vant yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said of­fi­cers from the Mor­vant Po­lice Sta­tion re­ceived a re­port of a body at the Moun­tain View Ceme­tery, on An­ge­lene Street, around 7.15 am.

Of­fi­cers vis­it­ed the scene and were led to some bush­es where they found the body of the man wear­ing a white vest, a pair of blue jeans, one side of black Nike sneak­ers on his right foot and a white plas­tic bag cov­er­ing his head.

The man’s hands were tied be­hind his back and his feet were tied with a black and white plas­tic bag.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said the man’s body ap­peared to be in the ear­ly stages of de­com­po­si­tion.

Po­lice from the Barataria CID and the Re­gion II Homi­cide Bu­reau al­so vis­it­ed the scene.

Of­fi­cers from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.

Cops probe mur­der in Va­len­cia

And a 30-year-old Va­len­cia man was killed when ban­dits stormed his home on Thurs­day night.

Po­lice said De­on Br­us­co was at his Ben­ny Road, home around 11 pm when masked gun­men ran in­to his house, over­pow­er­ing him and a fe­male rel­a­tive.

The at­tack­ers re­port­ed­ly tied Br­us­co and the woman up be­fore shoot­ing him in his leg.

Res­i­dents heard the gun­shots and called the po­lice who vis­it­ed the scene and found Br­us­co bleed­ing.

Of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion took Br­us­co to the San­gre Grande Hos­pi­tal where he died around 1.15 am yes­ter­day.
