A man on the run from the police for the last two years was held sleeping in a tomb at a cemetery in Sangre Grande on Friday.
The 38-year-old father of two, of Robinson Circular Road, Damarie Hill, Sangre Grande, was arrested during an exercise to round up people on outstanding warrants. The man and six others on outstanding warrants for child maintenance were also arrested in the area.
Acting on information received by PCs Ottley and Cortez, officers of the warrant section and the Eastern Division Task Force went to the Turure Cemetery around 8 pm, where they found the man asleep in a makeshift bed in a tomb.
He was arrested and taken to the station.
