A man on the run from the po­lice for the last two years was held sleep­ing in a tomb at a ceme­tery in San­gre Grande on Fri­day.

The 38-year-old fa­ther of two, of Robin­son Cir­cu­lar Road, Damarie Hill, San­gre Grande, was ar­rest­ed dur­ing an ex­er­cise to round up peo­ple on out­stand­ing war­rants. The man and six oth­ers on out­stand­ing war­rants for child main­te­nance were al­so ar­rest­ed in the area.

Act­ing on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived by PCs Ot­t­ley and Cortez, of­fi­cers of the war­rant sec­tion and the East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force went to the Tu­rure Ceme­tery around 8 pm, where they found the man asleep in a makeshift bed in a tomb.

He was ar­rest­ed and tak­en to the sta­tion.
