A Princes Town man who allegedly threatened the lives of President Paula-Mae Weekes and Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is will appear before a Princes Town Magistrates on Thursday.
On Friday, PC Lewis charged Vinu Dallsingh, 65, with misuse of a telephone.
Police said that on May 6, the Emergency 999 Command Centre in St James received a call, during which the caller threatened the lives of Weekes and Rowley.
The attending officers subsequently reported the threats to the Port-of-Spain CID.
To identify the caller, PC Lewis collaborated with personnel from the RAU, E999, Cyber Crime Unit and other external agencies. Following an investigation and advice from the CID’s legal team, PC Lewis laid a complaint about the offence of misuse of telephone facilities against Dallsingh before the Princes Town Magistrate’s Court.
