The Manzanilla Beach Facility will remain closed until further notice.
The Tourism Ministry said this is to facilitate ongoing remedial works being conducted at the beach facility.
It noted that even as the public now has limited access to beaches between 5 am and 12 noon, all beachgoers are reminded to follow the public health guidelines and observe the three Ws which are, to wash your hands, wear your mask and watch your distance.
Meanwhile, the Government has updated the Public Health Ordinance to
allow for the reopening of beachies from 5 am to 12 noon.
It states: "Beaches shall be open between the hours of 5.00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. subject to the following conditions: (a) no person shall consume alcohol on the beach; (b) no person shall play loud music on the beach including from any motor vehicle; (c) a gathering at the beach shall not exceed ten persons at a time; and (d) each person shall comply with the mask wearing requirements under regulation 6, unless he is in the water."
