Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs Dr Amery Brown bid farewell to out­go­ing Colom­bian Am­bas­sador Martha Ce­cil­ia Piñil­la-Per­do­mo dur­ing a cour­tesy call to­day.

Dur­ing the meet­ing min­is­ter Browne not­ed the suc­cess of Am­bas­sador Piñil­la-Per­do­mo in deep­en­ing the co­op­er­a­tion and re­la­tions be­tween the two coun­tries.

Sen­a­tor the Ho­n­ourable Dr. Amery Browne, Min­is­ter of For­eign and CARI­COM Af­fairs, bid farewell to Her Ex­cel­len­cy Martha Ce­cil­ia Piñil­la-Per­do­mo, out­go­ing Am­bas­sador of the Re­pub­lic of Colom­bia to the Re­pub­lic of Trinidad and To­ba­go dur­ing a Cour­tesy Call on 10th No­vem­ber, 2022 at the head­quar­ters of the Min­istry of For­eign and CARI­COM Af­fairs.

Min­is­ter Browne not­ed the suc­cess of Am­bas­sador Piñil­la-Per­do­mo in deep­en­ing the co­op­er­a­tion and re­la­tions be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and Colom­bia dur­ing her tenure and ex­tend­ed his best wish­es on her fu­ture en­deav­ours.

Min­is­ter al­so com­mend­ed the work of the Em­bassy of Colom­bia in ad­vanc­ing clos­er re­la­tions be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and Colom­bia dur­ing the Covid-19 pan­dem­ic.

Am­bas­sador Piñil­la-Per­do­mo high­light­ed the im­por­tance of the Caribbean re­gion to the Gov­ern­ment of Colom­bia and dis­cussed a num­ber of ini­tia­tives to en­hance co­op­er­a­tion in the ar­eas of cul­ture, tourism and trade be­tween the Caribbean Re­gion and Colom­bia. Min­is­ter Browne un­der­took to en­gage with Am­bas­sador Piñil­la-Per­do­mo’s suc­ces­sor on these and oth­er ini­tia­tives of mu­tu­al ben­e­fit for Trinidad and To­ba­go and Colom­bia.
