Orop­uche East MP Dr Roodal Mooni­lal is call­ing on cit­i­zens to em­brace the green spir­it at home this Cor­pus Christi.

Dr Mooni­lal made the call in a Face­book post as he cel­e­brat­ed the re­cent Seedling Dis­tri­b­u­tion Dri­ve in cel­e­bra­tion of Cor­pus Christi in his con­stituen­cy.

He called on the pub­lic to join the “Grow What You Eat” ini­tia­tive which en­cour­ages plant­i­ng and agri­cul­tur­al aware­ness.

"Let us cel­e­brate Cor­pus Christi by em­brac­ing the green spir­it at home," he said. "As we gath­er in prayer and re­flec­tion, let us al­so ho­n­our the beau­ty of cre­ation by plant­i­ng seeds of hope and sus­tain­abil­i­ty. Wish­ing you a blessed Cor­pus Christi filled with joy, peace, and abun­dant green­ery!"
