Tobago’s road fatality figure has risen to ten following a deadly crash on the Claude Noel Highway on Sunday.
According to reports, at 8.05 pm, the driver of a white car was heading west near the Old Farm Road intersection when his vehicle collided with a motorcycle ridden by Nkosi Patrick of St Luke Road.
Patrick was thrown into a nearby drain and was rushed to the Scarborough Hospital.
Doctors pronounced him dead at 8.27 pm.
Police impounded both vehicles at the Shirvan Road Police Station.
The toll in Tobago has surpassed 2023’s figure for the same period, which was eight.
Meanwhile, TTPS Road Safety Coordinator Brent Batson has again called on the public to be careful when using the roads.
