Veteran photographer Sureash Cholai, who'd worked for Trinidad Newsday since 2003, died suddenly this morning, Newsday's former Editor-in-Chief Judy Raymond and several of his colleagues confirmed.
Cholai was 59.
He was described as a pillar of the Newsday newsroom and of the media fraternity.
His death comes just a few weeks after another Newsday veteran journalist Nalinee Seelal passed away from health complications.
