The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) has con­firmed that no ap­proval or per­mis­sions have been grant­ed for the stag­ing of the Kman Sixx con­cert sched­uled for this Sat­ur­day, No­vem­ber 2, at St Paul's Street.

In an of­fi­cial state­ment on the mat­ter, the Po­lice Ser­vice said:

“The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) is ad­vis­ing mem­bers of the pub­lic that the event ti­tled ‘KMAN SIXX BIRTH­DAY CON­CERT’, sched­uled for Sat­ur­day 2nd No­vem­ber, 2024, at St. Paul’s Street, Port of Spain, has not been ap­proved by the Courts.”

The TTPS warned that stiff penal­ties may ap­ply should or­gan­is­ers at­tempt to stage the event any­way.

“Events pro­ceed­ing with­out such au­tho­riza­tion may lead to en­force­ment ac­tion, in­clud­ing pos­si­ble shut­downs and oth­er penal­ties,” the Po­lice Ser­vice said.

The re­lease not­ed that event or­gan­is­ers are re­quired, un­der law, “to ob­tain the nec­es­sary per­mis­sions from the rel­e­vant au­thor­i­ties for pub­lic gath­er­ings and events of this na­ture.”

The TTPS al­so urged the pub­lic “to ex­er­cise cau­tion and re­frain from at­tend­ing un­ap­proved events.”
