The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has confirmed that no approval or permissions have been granted for the staging of the Kman Sixx concert scheduled for this Saturday, November 2, at St Paul's Street.
In an official statement on the matter, the Police Service said:
“The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is advising members of the public that the event titled ‘KMAN SIXX BIRTHDAY CONCERT’, scheduled for Saturday 2nd November, 2024, at St. Paul’s Street, Port of Spain, has not been approved by the Courts.”
The TTPS warned that stiff penalties may apply should organisers attempt to stage the event anyway.
“Events proceeding without such authorization may lead to enforcement action, including possible shutdowns and other penalties,” the Police Service said.
The release noted that event organisers are required, under law, “to obtain the necessary permissions from the relevant authorities for public gatherings and events of this nature.”
The TTPS also urged the public “to exercise caution and refrain from attending unapproved events.”
