Sascha Wil­son

An off du­ty po­lice of­fi­cer and an­oth­er man were shot in Pe­nal last night.

Around 9.30 p.m. PC Richard Jages­sar at­tached to the Siparia Po­lice Sta­tion was with a friend Adesh Seesaran, 43, lim­ing at Al­vara­do Ave, Lowkie Trace when a man dressed in a black hood­ie and trousers walked up and be­gan shoot­ing at them. Jages­sar was shot on the left side of his chest and leg while Seesaran was shot on his foot. The gun­man then ran off. 

The of­fi­cer and his friend were tak­en to the Siparia Health Fa­cil­i­ty and then trans­ferred to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal. Jages­sar is said to be in a se­ri­ous but sta­ble con­di­tion.
