Officers from the Northern Division have arrested a man and seized a large quantity of cannabis during an exercise conducted in the Arima district yesterday.
Between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on January 9, officers from the Operations/Intelligence Unit conducted a search in a residence on Bittern Boulevard.
During the search, officers discovered a black plastic bag containing several rectangular packages in a bedroom located at the northern side of the house. The 20 packages contained 10kg of cannabis, with an estimated street value of $890,942.00
The items were seized, and a 55-year-old man was arrested in connection
with the find.
This exercise was spearheaded by ACP Singh, W/Snr. Supt. MaynardWilson, Supt. Etienne, ASP Ablacksingh, ASP Pitt, Insp. Lewis, and W/Sgt. Ramai.
