Pan Trinbago President Beverley Ramsey-Moore has wished Rowley a happy retirement, thanking him for the work he has done for the Steelpan fraternity, which included the official designation of the Steelpan as the National Musical Instrument, the change of the Coat of Arms and the proposal to build a new Pan Trinbago Headquarters on Wrightson Road.
She also thanked Rowley for the "substantial financial support for Panorama—covering prizes,
appearance fees, transport assistance, and aid to bands" which they said advanced the cultural legacy. "
As for the creation of the headquarters, Ramsey-Moore feels it will "stand as a tribute to the resilience and global significance of the Steelpan, solidifying its place as the heartbeat of our nation’s cultural identity."
'As you close this chapter of public service, we thank you for your unwavering dedication, foresight, and historic contributions to the advancement of the Steelpan movement. Your legacy will forever be a guiding force in the continued evolution of our national instrument. We wish you a fulfilling and rewarding retirement, filled with joy, reflection, and the satisfaction of a legacy well secured," Ramsey-Moore said.
