Po­lice are prob­ing two mur­ders which oc­curred ear­ly yes­ter­day morn­ing.

In the first in­ci­dent, Mal­oney res­i­dent Damien Dan­clair was shot and killed.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, around 1.20 am, Dan­clair, who worked as a PH taxi dri­ver, was in the carpark of Build­ing Sev­en at Mal­oney Gar­dens lim­ing with a group, when he was shot.

Mal­oney res­i­dents heard the gun­shots and lat­er found the 39-year-old on the ground.

He was tak­en to the near­by Ari­ma Hos­pi­tal, where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival by med­ical of­fi­cials.

Po­lice said Dan­clair did not have a crim­i­nal record, nor did he have any links to gang ac­tiv­i­ty.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors are try­ing to find a mo­tive for his killing.

And less than an hour lat­er, Cunu­pia res­i­dent Kei­th Bal­ram­s­ingh was gunned down while mov­ing his ve­hi­cle in the carpark at a bar.

Po­lice said the 33-year-old was lured to his death, as a mes­sage was passed call­ing on him to specif­i­cal­ly to move his ve­hi­cle.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said Bal­ram­s­ingh was at Ka­machie’s Bar, along the South Trunk Road, Kel­ly Vil­lage, around 2 am, when he was asked to move his ve­hi­cle, which was re­port­ed­ly block­ing an­oth­er ve­hi­cle in the carpark.

Po­lice said as Bal­ram­s­ingh went in­to the dri­ver’s seat to move his car, his killer or killers opened fire on him. He was shot mul­ti­ple times in the up­per body.
