Doubles vendor Yansil Seeram, 34, of Carapichaima, was killed yesterday near an NP service station in Piarco.
According to a police report, at about 3.30 am Seeram, of Perseverance Road, Carapichaima, had just purchased a bag of ice at the service station and was re-entering his vehicle when he was approached by a man who opened fire on him.
Seeram died on the scene.
Seeram was part of a team that operated the Skaters Doubles stall in the local food court of the Piarco International Airport.
Police are yet to determine a motive for the killing.
In another unrelated incident, at about 10.40 pm on Wednesday, a man of Irving Street, Petit Bourg, went to a bar at Mt D’or when a car pulled up next to him and its occupant shot him. The driver then sped off.
The victim was taken to the nearby Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated and warded in a serious condition.
