Min­is­ter of Pub­lic Util­i­ties, Mar­vin Gon­za­les has vis­it­ed Pic­ton Fort in prepa­ra­tion for up­grade works to the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty’s Pic­ton 2 Reser­voirs.

Ham­nar­ine Bha­ga­loo, Man­ag­er of Pipeline Projects at WASA, said that works, in­clud­ing the pres­sure wash­ing and paint­ing of the icon­ic tanks, will be­gin im­me­di­ate­ly and will uti­lize re­sources and labour from the sur­round­ing com­mu­ni­ties.

Min­is­ter Gon­za­les was ac­com­pa­nied by Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Port of Spain South, Kei­th Scot­land, mem­bers of the Man­age­ment team of WASA and the WASA project teams to­day.

He said plans are al­so un­der­way for ad­di­tion­al up­grades to the reser­voirs that will im­prove the wa­ter sup­ply to Up­per Gon­za­les, Up­per Quar­ry Road and Layan Hill, along with oth­er ar­eas in Laven­tille, Bel­mont and East Port of Spain.
