Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has shed light on his whereabouts Monday, noting that one of his brothers has died.
Dr Rowley did not address the country today following the announcement of a State of Emergency Monday morning.
However, in Facebook post Monday afternoon, Dr Rowley revealed that his brother died on Sunday.
He stated: "My sincerest thanks to those of you who have taken time to express your condolences to me and my family on the passing yesterday of my dear brother Alpheus. Your kind thoughts and good wishes of support are appreciated."
The prime minister gave no further details on the death of his brother.
In May 2024, he had told the country that another of his brothers, Felix Joseph, had died at the age of 79.
