Po­lice have de­stroyed over $10 mil­lion dol­lars in mar­i­jua­na trees in Biche.

The trees were dis­cov­ered and de­stroyed by of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion, dur­ing an erad­i­ca­tion ex­er­cise on Tues­day.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise led by In­spec­tor Ju­ri and Cor­po­ral Ram­nar­ine, of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion’s Spe­cial Op­er­a­tions Unit, Task Force, and the Biche Po­lice Sta­tion car­ried out a search of a bushy area off Lasalle Road, Biche.

The search re­sult­ed in of­fi­cers dis­cov­er­ing a camp con­tain­ing 10,110 mar­i­jua­na trees.

The drug, which has an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of $10,011,000, was de­stroyed.
