Police have destroyed over $10 million dollars in marijuana trees in Biche.
The trees were discovered and destroyed by officers of the Eastern Division, during an eradication exercise on Tuesday.
During the exercise led by Inspector Juri and Corporal Ramnarine, officers of the Eastern Division’s Special Operations Unit, Task Force, and the Biche Police Station carried out a search of a bushy area off Lasalle Road, Biche.
The search resulted in officers discovering a camp containing 10,110 marijuana trees.
The drug, which has an estimated street value of $10,011,000, was destroyed.
PC Singh, of the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department, is continuing inquiries.
