President Christine Kangaloo has hailed the talents and contributions of songwriter, musician and artist Roger Boothman.
Boothman, who was 67, died in his sleep last week Thursday. The Office of the President extended condolences to Boothman who was awarded a Hummingbird Medal Silver in September last year for his contribution to culture and the arts.
Boothman was also recognised for his songwriting abilities, having won awards including the National Song Festival, the Commonwealth Song Competition and the Caribbean Song Festival, which he won three times.
Family members said funeral arrangements for Boothman are still to be finalised and details would be shared later this week.
