Two months after her son was reported missing, Michelle Samaroo, the mother of missing La Romain taxi driver Vivion Samaroo, is clinging to hope that he may still be alive.
Samaroo, 28, was last seen at his Pond Road home on May 7.
Speaking with Guardian Media Ltd at the Forensic Science Centre in St James yesterday, Samaroo and other relatives appealed to anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward and tell the police.
The family visited the centre to inquire whether any unidentified bodies were brought in as they continued their efforts to locate him.
The mother said it was a difficult time for her and all she would like to know right now is what happened to her son.
She said Samaroo worked as a private hire (PH) taxi driver at times and his white Nissan Tiida car was also missing.
“If anybody saw him or know anything about him in any way or the other please call the police,” the mother said.
“If we could talk to him (Vivion) right now, we want him to know we are looking for him and we want him to come home.”
She said her son did not have any children and lived alone.
Samaroo said she had not been to work since her son’s disappearance as she was unable to concentrate or function.
The family is expected to return to the Forensic Science Centre today as they hope to get answers.
