San Fernando police are searching for two men who assaulted an MTS security guard at the Woodland Hindu School on Saturday before robbing her of her vehicle and valuables worth approximately $3000.
Investigators said Kumarie Ramlochan Juman, 34, was in the guard booth around 1 am on Saturday when two men broke down the door. The suspects, both slim and approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, wore dark clothing and face masks.
One was armed with a knife, and the other carried a large wrench. The suspects assaulted Juman, taking her vehicle keys, a black Nissan Almera valued $25,000, a tablet valued $600, a cellphone valued $1,100 and her wallet containing $1,200, along with several bank cards.
They fled in the stolen vehicle, heading toward La Romaine. Police officers responded to the scene, conducted interviews, and reviewed CCTV footage.
Searches for the suspects and vehicle were unsuccessful. Juman was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where she was treated and discharged. Investigations are ongoing.
