Soca star Dexter Stewart also known as Blaxx has died. This was confirmed by his manager Giselle Gellineau-Penrose.
The 61-year-old was battling COVID-19 in the Intensive Care Unit at the Arima Hospital.
He was in hospital since March 4.
Learning of his illness, many sent prayers via social media for the Hulk singer’s recovery.
“Lord let Blaxx pull through from this covid please,” one commenter wrote.
in 2020 Blaxx was hospitalised with lung and kidney issues.
