Trinidad and To­ba­go’s Ten to One Rum, found­ed by Trinida­di­an Marc Far­rell, was re­cent­ly named by the 2023 San Fran­cis­co World Spir­its Com­pe­ti­tion (SFWSC) as one of the best rums in the world.

Ten to One was one of on­ly two rums to re­ceive mul­ti­ple Dou­ble Gold medals in this year’s com­pe­ti­tion, and the brand’s ex­tra-proof white rum took home the ti­tle of “Best In Class” in the white rum cat­e­go­ry.

Found­ed in 2000, the SFWSC is the largest and most pres­ti­gious spir­its com­pe­ti­tion in North Amer­i­ca. Six­ty-five judges from around the globe eval­u­at­ed ap­prox­i­mate­ly 5,500 spir­its over three days in April 2023.

Launched in 2019, Ten to One’s cur­rent port­fo­lio blends rums from all over the Caribbean, in­clud­ing Ja­maica, Trinidad and To­ba­go, the Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic and Bar­ba­dos, and cur­rent­ly in­cludes sev­er­al ex­pres­sions: the ex­tra-proof White Rum named Best White Rum by the 2023 San Fran­cis­co World Spir­its Com­pe­ti­tion, an award-win­ning Aged Dark Rum, an Oloroso Sher­ry Cask Fin­ish rum, and an out­stand­ing 17 Year Sin­gle Cask Re­serve Rum.
