A Scarborough man who was found suffering from gunshot wounds at Turtle Beach, Courland, Tobago on Thursday night, remained warded at hospital on Friday.
The victim reportedly was shot around 7:28 pm on May 2, and was later found sitting under a tree on the beach.
He was allegedly bleeding from gunshot wounds to the chest, whilst blood was seen oozing from his mouth and nose.
Officers from the Shirvan Road Police Station responded to the call that gunshots had been heard.
Upon arrival, they found the injured victim.
In addition, they collected three live rounds of 9-millimetre ammunition, along with a magazine spring which was found lying near the victim.
The officers alerted the Emergency Health Services, and the victim was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital where he underwent emergency treatment. He was later transferred to the adult surgical ward.
A total of 29 5.56 spent shells and eight 9 mm spent shells were recovered at the scene.
A motive is yet to be established for the shooting.
