A To­co man was shot dead while at home ear­ly on Christ­mas morn­ing, po­lice said.

Sources con­firmed that Kelvin Ram­samooj was asleep at his Mon­segue Trace, To­co, home at around 2.40 am when a rel­a­tive who was al­so in the house re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots.

The rel­a­tive on check­ing saw that Ram­samooj tried to run away, but col­lapsed near­by and was bleed­ing from gun­shot wounds to his back.

To­co po­lice were called in and took Ram­samooj to the To­co Health Cen­tre where he was de­clared dead at 3.22 am.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors and the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II vis­it­ed the scene and col­lect­ed sev­er­al items.
