A Tunpuna man who went to his deceased father’s home at St Thomas Street on Wednesday night to retrieve clothes and other valuables was shot by a gunman as he exited the property.
Both the 46-year-old victim and his 31-year-old friend of Tenth Street, Dinsley Village, were injured around 8 pm on March 29.
Guardian Media understands the victims were accosted by a masked man who later fled the scene on foot.
Having contacted the police for help, the victims were escorted to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, where the 46-year-old was treated for a flesh wound to the left side of his back and was discharged.
The 31-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm and was treated and warded in a stable condition on Wednesday. He was expected to be discharged at some time today.
