An investigation into larceny of stolen items from a house in Valencia led to the arrest of two men from Carapo, Arima and the recovery of all stolen items worth $10,500.
According to police, based on information obtained, a joint operation was conducted with officers going to Race Course Road in Carapo, where the stolen items—which include a gas power washer valued $2200, a Yonjia Mist Blower valued $2500, and two submersible water pumps valued $4000, along with a Karcher power washer valued at $1800—were recovered.
All items recovered by the police were identified by the victim.
Two men ages 20 and 24 years were arrested. Both men are to appear virtually before a magistrate in the Sangre Grande Court on Monday.
Police reported around 5:00 pm on Thursday, the victim—25-year-old Antonio Ramcharan of Eastern Main Road, Valencia—left a shed with tools and equipment behind his home. The victim returned to the shed around 10:00 am on Friday and discovered the items missing. He also discovered a hole cut in the wire fence surrounding the property.
Ramcharan said he gave no one permission to take or remove the items.
He went to the Valencia Police Post where he made a report.
