Two men were ar­rest­ed, and of­fi­cers seized two firearms, am­mu­ni­tion, and cannabis in sep­a­rate op­er­a­tions in the West­ern and North­ern Di­vi­sions this week.

In the West­ern Di­vi­sion, of­fi­cers from the West End Po­lice Sta­tion car­ried out an ex­er­cise be­tween 8 pm and 11 pm on 20 March along a river­bank in Diego Mar­tin. They found two firearms and 35 rounds of as­sort­ed am­mu­ni­tion hid­den in a grey plas­tic bag.

Mean­while, in the North­ern Di­vi­sion, of­fi­cers con­duct­ed an op­er­a­tion in Waller­field be­tween 7 pm and 10 pm on 19 March. A 35-year-old Waller­field man was ar­rest­ed for pos­sess­ing am­mu­ni­tion, while a 29-year-old man from San­gre Grande was held for pos­sess­ing cannabis.
