Unilever Caribbean Ltd. (UCL) has moved its headquarters to Albion Plaza, Victoria Avenue, Port of Spain. The company was previously based for over sixty-three years at its iconic facility in Champs Fleurs. The new location is part of a transformative and progressive restructuring in line with Unilever’s global strategy.
“Unilever Caribbean Ltd. has fully embodied the hybrid work model with a fusion of work days in office and work-from-home. We’ve have had great results with this flexibility, including increased employee productivity and job satisfaction with greater work-life balance. Between our physical office and our digital workspaces, everyone on our team is empowered to do their best work in a manner that most suits them,” shared Jade De Vert, Unilever’s Human Resource Country Lead.
De Vert explained that the new head office was designed with employee flexibility and teamwork in mind: “We have open workstations and shared spaces to encourage team collaboration and creativity when we’re in the office together, but there are still individual and unique workspaces available for use by anyone on the team. All our meeting rooms are fully connected with integrated screens to facilitate our wider, virtual regional meetings. Our outdoor patio is one of the most popular meeting spots in the office when the weather allows!”
