The Wa­ter and Sewage Au­thor­i­ty is ad­vis­ing of the heavy rain­falls which has im­pact­ed op­er­a­tions at some of the Au­thor­i­ty’s Sur­face Wa­ter Treat­ment fa­cil­i­ties in the North­ern Re­gion and parts of To­ba­go.

The fol­low­ing Wa­ter Treat­ment Plants (WTPs) are ex­pe­ri­enc­ing re­duced pro­duc­tion or have been stopped due to high tur­bid­i­ty as a re­sult of flood­ed riv­er con­di­tions:

These con­di­tions are con­tin­u­al­ly be­ing as­sessed such that works are in progress at some fa­cil­i­ties and com­plet­ed at oth­er fa­cil­i­ties which have been restart­ed.

The Au­thor­i­ty will con­tin­ue to pro­vide up­dates as every ef­fort is be­ing made to re­turn these fa­cil­i­ties to ser­vice at the ear­li­est pos­si­ble time.
